Your Contributions Add Up
We’re more than halfway there—thanks to you. Help us finish this important work.
The OABGC, in coordination with Wayne County Community Foundation, ensures that every contribution—large or small—strengthens programs that serve more than 1,400 youth across Wayne County. Together, we can ensure that great futures truly start here.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts are long-range contributions that will insure the longevity of our organization. This contribution includes gifts of securities or properties that can be designated for annual program operations or restricted to the endowment fund. Bequests allow individuals to remember our Boys & Girls Clubs in a will or estate plan. Consult with your financial planner or attorney on how you can make a planned gift or contact Josh Nolan at the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club for more information.

Testimonials
It only takes one day ot change the rest of your life. That day came 38 years ago when I first walked thorugh those glass doors on N. Ella Street. Little did I know I was becoming part of a movement that stretched byond these doors and set the course of my life fo rth enext 38 years. My Club experience will always be close ot my heart becauseit gave me purpose, usefulness and the foundation that remains today. i wuldn't be the man I am today without the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club. Join us in this movement so one day may more young people get to experience the impact of the greatest movement there ever was.

To me, the Boys & Girls Club is more than an organization. It is where vision was planted, where confidence was built, and where leadership was born. It is the reason I don’t just dream anymore—I execute. Because of the Boys & Girls Club, I don’t just rise—I set the standard for what it means to give students in low-income communities access to a quality education, and every milestone I’ve reached is a reflection of the legacy that started there.

When I think about what the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club means to me, I think of transformation. As a young man navigating hardship and uncertainty, the Club became my anchor—a place where I was not just another face in the crowd, but someone worth investing in. It was here that I first learned how powerful belief can be, both in yourself and from those who choose to see potential in you before you see it yourself.
The Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club didn’t just give me hope—it gave me fire. It taught me discipline, resilience, and the audacity to chase dreams that once felt out of reach. Standing on stage as Youth of the Year, I said the Club was “an inspiration to dream a dream but then to know that the dream itself is actually possible to live.” That truth has echoed through every chapter of my life since.

A Life Income Gift
You can receive a lifetime income, in addition to various tax benefits, from making a gift to one of our life-income plans. For instance, you will receive a current income tax deduction for the present value of the eventual gift, subject to the same contribution ceilings mentioned above, and you may reduce or eliminate the capital gains tax on long-term appreciated assets. On the death of the income beneficiary (you and/or another person), the Boys & Girls Club will have use of the funds to further its programs. Life income plans include:
A Charitable Gift Annuity. In exchange for a gift of cash or securities, we will agree to pay you a guaranteed, fixed annual income for your lifetime. This income may start now or at a later date, such as retirement. The rate of the annuity is based on the ages of the annuitants, you or another person. You will incur no immediate capital gain on the transfer of appreciated securities and part of your annuity payment will be tax-free.
A Charitable Reminder Trust. We are happy to work with you and your financial advisors to create an individual income arrangement that suits your unique circumstances. For example, you may choose a fixed or fluctuating payment, the rate of income, and many other features to suit your particular needs. You will incur no capital gain tax on the initial transfer of long-term, appreciated securities or real estate into the trust.
