Some legacies are measured in buildings. Others are measured in the lives they touch.

For Nellie Snyder, that legacy lives on through generations of children, volunteers, and community members whose lives were shaped by her lifelong example of service. This week, we celebrate nine remarkable volunteers whose decades of dedication carry that legacy forward.

This year's Nellie Snyder Decades of Dedication Award recipients are Mark Auble, Donna Dale Davis, Dr. Mike Guster, Maribeth Burns, Lynn Horner, Annette Fejes, Chris Davis, Cheryl Kirkbride, and Melissa Contini. Together, these nine volunteers represent more than 260 years of combined service to the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club. Their leadership has helped guide the organization through seasons of growth and change, ensuring generations of young people have had a safe place to learn, grow, belong, and build great futures.

The award is named in honor of Nellie Snyder, whose lifelong dedication to the Club continues to inspire a legacy of volunteerism and service. As we continue to preserve and celebrate our Club's rich history, one thing has become abundantly clear: the Club we know today was built by people who gave their time, talents, and hearts in service to others.

Congratulations to this year's recipients, and thank you for the countless hours, unwavering leadership, and enduring commitment you've given to the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club. Through your service, you are helping carry forward a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
