Welcome Lisa Widmer

Orrville, Ohio, February 20, 2020 – The Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club (“OABGC”) announced the appointment of Lisa Widmer as the Interim Executive Director following the resignation of the Club’s Executive Director on February 11, 2020. Widmer will serve in this role while the Board of Directors conducts a national search for the Executive Director position.

Widmer is currently Vice President, Fundraising Chair and Legislative Liaison for the OABGC’s Board of Directors. She is a member of Orrville’s City Council and serves on the Board of Aultman Hospital’s Growing Healthy Habits organization. She also serves as Treasurer for the Wayne County Republican Women and is an Executive Committee Member of the Wayne County Republican Party. She is a founder and coach for the Orrville Youth Running Club.



“We are very pleased to have appointed Lisa Widmer as Interim Executive Director of the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club. Lisa is a highly respected leader and role model in our community,” said Matt Budd, President of the OABGC Board of Directors. “Lisa has been dedicated to the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club as an active member of our Board of Directors since 2016. Her enthusiasm and commitment to serving children in our community will ensure we maintain and build on our Club’s focus of enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

Widmer resides in Orrville with her husband and five children.

For more than 40 years, the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club (“OABGC”) has enabled young people most in need to achieve great futures as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Today, more than 1,200 young people in Wayne County benefit from Club membership and community outreach. The OABGC provides a safe place, caring adult mentors, fun and friendship, and high-impact youth development programs on a daily basis during critical non-school hours. Club programs promote academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
